Rosary Triathlon headed south to the ACU-5 Assault Craft Unit 5 "Swift Intruders" facility at Camp Pendleton on Saturday, September 22.
A little wind, a little surf, perfect temperatures and the men and women of the Navy and Marine Corps welcomed them early this morning before the sun rose.
Freshman Elizabeth Harita and Sophomore Isabella Capps raced in the triathlon. Starting in the Pacific Ocean, they conquered the 500m swim and ran up the sandy beach to their waiting bicycles. From there, they left the ACU-5 facility and headed north through Camp Pendleton on a 30 kilometer ride. Returning to the hovercraft base, they finished the race with a 5 kilometer run.
Age Group Division 19 and Under:
Elizabeth Harita - 1st
Isabella Capps - 3rd
Sophomore Isabel Alderete raced in the Devil Dog Duathlon. Starting off with a 2 kilometer run on the beach through the soft sand, she made her way to the bikes. From there she followed the same course as the triathlon, making quick work of the 30 kilometer bike and crushing the 5 kilometer run.

Coach Adam also raced the triathlon and was first in the 45~49 Age Group.
